Welcome to Stmtly, the bank statement converter service provided by Bhasa Financial Solutions (Pty) Ltd, Registration Number 2025/904172/07. We provide a platform to convert South African bank statement PDFs into CSV and OFX formats. By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, our Privacy Policy, and our PAIA Manual. Please read them carefully before using our Service.

2. Service Description

Our Service facilitates the conversion of South African bank statement PDFs into CSV and OFX formats, primarily for use in accounting software such as Sage Accounting. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." While we strive for accuracy, we make no warranties or representations regarding the completeness, reliability, or accuracy of the converted data. You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of all converted data before using it for any purpose, including financial reporting or accounting.

We support PDF bank statements from major South African banks. We are not responsible for conversion failures due to unsupported formats, poor quality scans, password-protected files, or other technical limitations outside our control.

3. User Responsibilities

By using our Service, you agree to:

  • Verify Data Accuracy: You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy and completeness of all converted data before relying on it.
  • Authorization to Upload: You must only upload bank statements or other financial documents that you are legally authorized to access and process. You warrant that you have obtained all necessary consents from relevant data subjects (e.g., your clients) for the processing of their personal information through our Service, in compliance with POPIA.
  • Lawful Use: You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or unauthorized purpose, or in any manner that violates applicable South African laws and regulations.
  • Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
  • Security of Downloaded Data: You are responsible for ensuring the security and proper handling of your downloaded converted data and files once they leave our platform.

4. Data Privacy

We are committed to protecting your privacy and personal information. Bank statements uploaded for conversion are processed securely using AI and are deleted from our servers immediately after conversion. We do not store your raw bank statement data permanently. We comply with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and all applicable South African data protection laws. For full details on how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information, please refer to our comprehensive Privacy Policy.

5. Subscription and Payments

  • Page Purchase Model: Our Service operates on a one-time page purchase basis. You purchase page bundles at fixed prices in South African Rand (ZAR), inclusive of VAT where applicable. All purchased pages are lifetime—they never expire and remain available indefinitely until used.
  • Payment Processing: All payments are processed securely through our third-party payment processor, Paystack. By purchasing pages, you agree to Paystack's terms and conditions.
  • Price Changes: We reserve the right to change our pricing for pages at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of any price changes.

6. Refund and Cancellation Policy

6.1. Page Purchases

  • Non-Expiry: All purchased pages never expire and remain available indefinitely.
  • Refunds: Refunds for page purchases are only provided within 7 days of the purchase date, provided that no pages from that specific purchase have been used. Once any portion of a page bundle has been used, it becomes non-refundable.

6.2. Service Issues

  • Technical Errors: If a conversion fails due to a technical error on our part (e.g., system malfunction), the pages used for that failed conversion will be credited back to your account.
  • User-Related Failures: We are not responsible for conversion failures resulting from issues with the uploaded file, such as poor quality scans, unsupported bank statement formats, password protection, or corrupted files.
